Newsletter and your 5% code. If you join our emails (in the pop-up on our website or our newsletter form), we keep your email address with a record of your consent: the wording you agreed to, the date, time and page, and a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address. We use your address to send your personal 5% code for a first order and occasional emails about new kit, restocks and offers. Our lawful basis is your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email, or by emailing info@advg.co.uk. We keep these details while you’re subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address and the record of your sign-up and unsubscribe, so that we don’t email you again and can show what you agreed to. An unused code is deleted 30 days after it expires.
Saved baskets. When you type your email address at checkout (or reach the checkout signed in), we save it with what’s in your basket and a scrambled form of your IP address, so that we can send you up to two reminders if you don’t finish your order: one after about an hour, and one about a day later that may include a 5% code. Choose “No thanks” under the email field and we won’t save your basket or email you about it; every reminder also has an unsubscribe link. Saved baskets are deleted after 30 days. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in helping you finish an order you started, and the reminders follow the “soft opt-in” rule for emails to people who have started buying from us: you can say no when you give us your address, and in every email.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with service providers who assist us in operating our website and conducting our business, as long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.
